The exhibition coincides with the launch of a brand new series of PUT ME ON IT Live events downstairs at the same venue. The night features special live performances from Dego (4Hero/ 2000 Black), singer/multi-instrumentalist Tanya Auclair and Resident DJ Eric Lau.

OPEN exhibition taking over Urban Species

Welcome to the next installment of Urban Species Pop up shop creativity. As of Thursday next week the store will be transformed into an exhibition space for all to come and experience.

OPEN is a week long ASSEMBLY project combining a fine art exhibition and program of events, curated by Nicholas E. Lawrence and Luke C. Kemp

OPEN brings together exciting new work from 18 emerging artists from around the world.

OPEN is not just an exhibition, it is an artwork in itself; an investigation into new possibilities for mediating the relationship between an artwork and its audience.

OPEN functions as an exhibition space, stage, discussion forum and social hub.

OPEN embraces both the commercial history of the space at 14 Cheshire Street and the access to the wide and varied audience which the location allows.

OPEN presents visual and performative artwork that is at the cutting edge of current fine art practice.

One of the best things about working at a place where a team of writers are used, is that i'm always finding scraps of paper with tags & designs just lying around.
