The DC Revamp is Here!

In June, Senior VP at DC said
"we are relaunching the entire DC Universe line of comic books with all new first issues. 52 of them to be exact.

In addition, the new #1s will introduce readers to a more modern, diverse DC Universe, with some character variations in appearance, origin and age. All stories will be grounded in each character's legend - but will relate to real world situations, interactions, tragedy and triumph.

This epic event will kick off on Wednesday, August 31st with the debut of a brand new JUSTICE LEAGUE #1, which pairs Geoff Johns and Jim Lee, together for the first time. "

Exciting times or what? Whether a cynical/cunning marketing plug or an ingenious comic book revolution, it's difficult to see anyone rival this strategy for excitement or technique.

With Justice League #1 already online and on stands, by September 21st, we will witness #1 roll-outs of Batman, Batgirl, Green Arrow, Swamp Thing, Green Lantern, Batwing, Superman, Justice League DARK, Hawkman, Flash, Captain Atom, Wonder Woman and so on from the DC Pantheon. 52 titles. Check the image below. We'll be keeping you up-to-date with the exact release schedule as well as get some reviews up.

Kidz Cool It review of Green Lantern

The Kidz Cool It philosophy is a simple marvel - why bother with what decadent middle-aged people have to say about the Green Lantern eh? Kidz Cool It goes straight to the vortex of children's thought to bring you reviews written/spoken BY children FOR children. Here is Tobias rocking our very own Green Lantern t-shirt. Join the corps!

Clark Joseph Kent aka Kal-el aka SUPERMAN

The Last Son of Krypton

"He wouldn't puff out his chest or posture heroically, he would be totally chilled. If nothing can hurt you, you can afford to be cool. A man like Superman would never have to tense against the cold; never have to flinch in the face of a blow. He would be completely laid back, un-tense. With this image of Superman relaxing on a cloud looking out for us all in my head, I rushed back to my hotel room and filled dozens of pages of my notebook with notes and drawings" - Grant Morrison on the conception of All-Star Superman

Green Lantern Film Preview + T-Shirt Competition

It's a bold logo that belongs to the Green Lantern. The logo doesn't belong to a person per-say. Well... YOU could become the Green Lantern. All you need is a Power Lantern. And a Power Ring. These majestic instruments allow a control of the physical realms through powers of force-field generation, flight towards the speed of light, invisibility cloaking, teleportation and even time travel, amongst many others. All of this only if you are deemed worthy enough (you need strength, wits, will-power, imagination) by the Guardians of the Universe to join the galactic police force that is the Green Lantern Corps.

How about a T-shirt in the meantime?

The Green Lantern movie is released on the 17th of June and features a stellar cast including Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively (yeah, the blonde from Gossip Girl) and Mark Strong.

To win ANY Green Lantern T-shirt from the Urban Species collection: simply answer "Which Superhero group that also includes Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman is Green Lantern Hal Jordan a founding member of?" Message us the answer on our Facebook page and leave us an email address for us to get back at you if you win.
